As the season progresses, we're going to continue to look at each division around Major League Baseball and break them down and try to really get to the bottom of who is a contender and who is not.
Over the next week, we'll take a look at each division around the league with the simple question: Legit or fraud?
Chicago White Sox
Record: 20-21
Biggest Surprise: Munetaka Murakami has been one of the most fun stories in baseball this season. The league misjudged his free agent market this past offseason and the White Sox got it right.
MVP: Munetaka Murakami: Murakami has given this team some much-needed life. He has 15 homers and 29 RBIs this season through 41 games played. He's been excellent.
One Sentence: The White Sox may not be a World Series contender, but they are young and fun.
Legit or fraud? Legit, but not a contender. This club is young. Their 20-21 record is legit and this team is going to get even better.
