Emotions ran high between the Boston Red Sox and Milwaukee Brewers on Monday night and the chatter continued after the contest.

Willson Contreras got into it with Milwaukee after he was hit with a pitch in the third inning of the contest by Brewers hurler Brandon Woodruff. After the game, Contreras sent a warning to the club about hitting him again.

"It’s not just the HBP, it’s the 24th pitch they’ve hit me in my career — 24th," Contreras said. "That’s the 6th time [Brandon Woodruff] has hit me and they always say I’m not trying to hit you. That gets old. So next time they hit me again, I’m going to take one of them out. That’s the message."

While speaking to the media after the game, Brewers star Christian Yelich was asked about the drama involving Contreras and took a shot of his own, as seen in a clip shared to X by MLB.com's Adam McCalvy.

"We’ve seen this skit for the last 10 years. It’s nothing new," Yelich said. "Not surprising. You just keep it rolling. We've got a game to win. Lock the boys in and rally the troops."

Boston and Milwaukee will take the field at Fenway Park again on Tuesday night and all eyes will be on Contreras.
