If you're a Boston Red Sox fan, it's hard not to be massively excited about young outfielder Roman Anthony.

If you have been following along with the organization over the last few years, you've likely seen the trajectory. Anthony came to the organization and shined down in the minors to the point that he was baseball's No. 1 prospect when he made his big league debut in 2025. He lived up to the hype as he slashed .292/.396/.463 with an .859 OPS in 71 games. Anthony was a 3.1-WAR player while clubbing eight homers, driving in 32 runs and racking up 18 doubles.

Anthony looked like a star and has already taken that idea to another level. He is just 21 years old and yet he's starring for Team USA in the World Baseball Classic. On Sunday, he smashed another homer in the tournament to give Team USA a 2-1 lead over Team Dominican Republic and that would be all Team USA needed.

Anthony doesn't just look like a star. He is a star among stars, a superstar. Anthony entered the tournament already with massive expectations for the 2026 season and somehow, they continue to rise.

The young slugger has played so well that New York Yankees superstar Aaron Judge said that him and Bryce Harper have been talking about Anthony representing Team USA for the next 10 to 15 years, along with Bobby Witt Jr., as transcribed by Tim Healey of The Boston Globe

"Me and Harper have been kind of joking around that [Bobby Witt Jr.] and Roman are going to be in this, representing the USA for the next 10, 15 years. … Hopefully when we’re the old guys in here in a couple years, they still want us on the team."

The future is bright in Boston.
