Scott Neville is an entrepreneur, media executive and sports journalist, best known for his role as the founder of WTF Sports and More Views Media. He currently serves as a publisher for the Sports Illustrated Media Group (now often branded as On SI), where he oversees the operations and content strategy for several team-specific digital properties, including Boston Red Sox On SI (formerly Inside The Red Sox), where he got his start.

Neville has established himself as a prominent voice in the New England sports landscape, combining traditional beat reporting with digital media management.

Early Life and Education

Neville attended Merrimack College in North Andover, Massachusetts, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication and Media with a minor in Marketing. During his time at Merrimack, he was involved in broadcast media, spending four years as a host and producer for the college's radio station, WMCK.

His early interests extended beyond sports into film production; he produced multiple short films and even completed a feature-length film during his senior year, following advice from actor Charlie Day.

Career Beginnings

Neville’s professional journey in sports media began with an internship at United Way as part of their NFL Partnership Program. There, he managed the site's blog and hosted an internet series interviewing NFL alumni, blending his production skills with sports journalism.

He subsequently joined SB Nation, writing for Over The Monster, a popular community site dedicated to the Boston Red Sox. His work (and many applications) caught the attention of the New England Sports Network (NESN), the premier regional sports network in the area. At NESN, Neville worked as a content producer, covering a wide range of sports and honing his skills in digital reporting and audience engagement.

Launch Of WTF Sports & More Views Media

Neville’s career took a significant leap when he joined the Sports Illustrated Media Group as a publisher. He was instrumental in the launch and rapid growth of Inside The Red Sox, a vertical dedicated to comprehensive coverage of the team.

Leveraging the success of the Red Sox site, Neville expanded his role to become a publisher for multiple properties under the SI umbrella. He is often the primary point of contact for business and marketing inquiries for these sites, operating through his media entity, WTF Sports. His portfolio has grown to include the management of sites covering other major franchises, such as the St. Louis Cardinal, Philadelphia Eagles and the New York Jets.

In addition to his written work and executive responsibilities, Neville is a co-host of the ITM Podcast, where he discusses news, debates roster moves, and interviews guests related to Boston baseball. The show has grown to over 50,000 monthly listeners alongside a growing social audience.

Neville is also credited for launching More Views Media, a company that has worked with premier outlets such as Newsweek, NESN, SportsNet Pittsburgh and Sporting News. After years of partnering with big brands, More Views Media's latest venture is to create its own outlet, launching MLB Now in December of 2025.

Professional Reputation

Neville is recognized for his "digital-first, SEO-focused" approach to sports journalism, effectively bridging the gap between traditional reporting and the demands of modern content aggregation and social media distribution. He is frequently cited for his analysis of player transactions, trade deadlines, and farm system prospects.
