Milwaukee Brewers ace Jacob Misiorowski had a season for the ages in 2026.

The 24-year-old flamethrower dominated his first full Major League season, going 16-5 and leading MLB with a 1.80 ERA, a 0.80 WHIP and 252 strikeouts. He will surely win his first NL Cy Young award as a result, likely unanimously.

He then proceeded to help the Brewers win their first World Series title in franchise history, going 2-0 with a 1.89 ERA in four October starts. That included his gem in Game 5 of the World Series, where he won the clinching game with 5 2/3 scoreless innings.

According to OptaSTATS, he became the first pitcher since Sandy Koufax in 1963 with at least 250 strikeouts, a sub-2.00 ERA and a win in the deciding game of the World Series all in the same season.

Pretty good company for a guy in just his second Major League season.
