It's hard to have an extended rally with two outs, but the Milwaukee Brewers made it look easy in Game 3 of the World Series on Monday night.
With two outs and a runner on first in the top of the fifth, the Brewers refused to quit. Jackson Chourio stole second base, which may have rattled Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Freddy Peralta.
Peralta walked Christian Yelich, then allowed an infield single to William Contreras, loading the bases. Kevin Cash went to his bullpen, bringing in Cam Booser to extinguish the flames.
Instead, Booser poured gasoline all over them. He allowed four straight hits and did not record an out, giving up five runs.
His replacement, Cole Sulser, didn't fare much better, surrendering two more hits before finally getting the third out of the inning.
By the time the dust settled, Milwaukee had notched seven straight hits and scored eight runs with two outs -- both World Series records. They rode their huge inning to an easy 10-1 victory at Tropicana Field.
The Brewers are now just one win away from their first championship in franchise hisory. If they prevail, the fifth inning of Game 3 will unquestionably be the signature moment of their title run.
