The Milwaukee Brewers are one win away from winning their first World Series, and they have dominated October.

They have lost just one game this month, and it came all the way back in the National League Division Series against the San Diego Padres. They swept baseball Goliath, the Los Angeles Dodgers, and are one win away from sweeping the American League's best team.

There was no doubt that the Brewers were a great team coming into October, but perhaps nobody realized they were this good. They swept the reigning back-to-back champions, have come from behind in nearly every game, have beaten every elite pitcher they've faced, lead the postseason in home runs, have been dominant out of the bullpen and have played phenomenal defense.

A sweep of the Tampa Bay Rays would cap off a terrific season and postseason, and it would make them the first team ever to sweep the League Championship Series and the World Series since the Championship Series adopted a best-of-seven format, per MLB Network's Sarah Langs.

In some ways, this Brewers team seemed destined to win it all. They had the Cy Young Award winner, an elite No. 2 starter, a dominant bullpen, young, talented hitters and a lineup built for October. However, they were still doubted and picked against when they faced the Padres and Dodgers.

Their starting pitching has not lived up to expectations, but the rest of the team has stepped up. Now, they are putting themselves in conversations as one of the greatest teams ever. They have won eight straight games and if they complete the sweep on Tuesday, they will hold the record for the most consecutive wins in a single postseason.
