The Boston Red Sox's season is over, and the focus is now on the offseason.

The starting rotation could be a concern in the offseason. Garrett Crochet will be back, and Payton Tolle and Ranger Suarez are great. However, Sonny Gray has a $30 million mutual option, and questions remain about whether he will continue to play.

He is 36 years old, and earlier this season he said that if his family wants him home, he will hang it up. However, he proved this season that he can still play. How much longer can he still compete at a high level?

"I think that's an easy answer," Gray said to reporters after the game. "I got a lot of baseball left in me."

Gray had the best ERA among the Red Sox's starting pitchers this year. He posted a 2.72 ERA, which was the best he's ever had in a full season of work. The Red Sox would not have been able to make the postseason without him.

While retirement is on the table, Gray also said he does not know if the Red Sox are a destination for him. He voiced his displeasure about being pulled from the game early in his postgame comments, and said "I don't know," when asked if Boston was a destination for him if he chose to keep playing.
