After struggling to find his power stroke for most of the season, Cal Raleigh has finally found it.
Coming off the first three-homer game of his MLB career on Monday, Raleigh picked up where he left off on Tuesday. He took Philadelphia Phillies starter Aaron Nola deep in his first at-bat of the game for a solo shot, giving him a home run in four straight at-bats.
The 2025 AL MVP runner-up now has five homers in his last five games entering play on Wednesday, hitting safely in all five games. He's up to 18 long balls on the year, seven of which have come in August.
While he won't come close to the 60 big flies he launched last year, he should still reach 20 for the fifth straight season. It's been a rough year at the plate for the slugging catcher with his .632 OPS, but at least he's providing some pop.
Meanwhile, the Seattle Mariners can only hope his surge isn't too little, too late, as they're still five games below .500 and three games out of a playoff spot in the American League.
