There wasn't much offense in Tuesday's MLB All-Star Game at Citizens Bank Park, which featured just four runs and 10 hits, but Chicago White Sox star Miguel Vargas had the biggest, loudest and longest hit of the night.

With the American League leading 3-0 in the top of the eighth, Vargas teed off on an 88 mph slider from Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher and former teammate Justin Wrobleski. It landed in the second deck in left field, 433 feet away from home plate.

Vargas' monster solo shot was the cherry on top for the AL and the only run scored after the first inning. He became just the third White Sox player to go deep in the Midsummer Classic, joining Frank Thomas and Magglio Ordonez.

It was an impressive All-Star Game debut for Vargas, who replaced Tampa Bay Rays star Junior Caminero at third base after Caminero got hit by a pitch. His blast was the only extra-base hit of the entire game.

At 26, Vargas is enjoying the best season of his career. He's already set personal bests in several categories, including WAR, home runs and stolen bases, helping the White Sox emerge as legit contenders in the AL Central.

Tuesday's tater proved he's not afraid of the big stage, which could be beneficial for Chicago if the team makes the playoffs.
