There are a handful of high-impact injuries around Major League Baseball worth monitoring with June now here.
Let's dive right into a few worth following for baseball fans around the league.
Aaron Judge - New York Yankees
All eyes are on the Yankees superstar right now. Judge is dealing with a bone bruise in his right ribs that is causing pain in his shoulder. He missed his third straight game on Thursday and he was sent for X-rays and a CT scan. If he misses extended time, that's going to be the difference between the Yankees being a World Series contender and just a potential playoff team.
Elly De La Cruz - Cincinnati Reds
De La Cruz is dealing with a hamstring injury right now and is on the Injured List. It was shared that after undergoing an MRI, he has between a Grade 1 and Grade 2 strain.
Jose Altuve - Houston Astros
Altuve hasn't played in a game since May 16. He is dealing with an oblique injury, but he was expected to take live batting practice on Wednesday.
Blake Snell - Los Angeles Dodgers
Snell had surgery to remove loose bodies from his elbow. He went with the Tarik Skubal approach and underwent a "nano scope" procedure to try to expedite his return.
Corey Seager - Texas Rangers
Seager hasn't played in a big league game since May 13, but his time is coming. He began a minor league rehab assignment on June 2. When a position player begins a minor league rehab assignment, it can last a maximum of 20 days. So, barring a setback, he'll be back soon.
Tarik Skubal - Detroit Tigers
Skubal's time is coming. He underwent elbow surgery and has been throwing bullpens for a few weeks at this point. It shouldn't be too long before we see him again.
Giancarlo Stanton - New York Yankees
Stanton is expected to take batting practice on Saturday, but won't be activated on the Yankees' next road trip, per MLB.com's Bryan Hoch.
"Giancarlo Stanton will take live BP again on Saturday, then continue ramping up running. Stanton wonβt be activated during the next road trip, Aaron Boone said," Hoch wrote.
Dylan Cease - Toronto Blue Jays
Cease is expected to begin a rehab assignment on Thursday. For pitchers, they have a maximum of 30 days to return after beginning a minor league rehab assignment.
Cole Ragans - Kansas City Royals
Ragans is dealing with an elbow issue, but has begun throwing and playing catch.
Kutter Crawford - Boston Red Sox
Crawford is all sorts of a mess. He missed the entire 2025 season and all of the 2026 season so far. He was slowed down in his comeback bid earlier in the week with "moderate, tightness in his forearm."
