If you're a Boston sports fan, you've likely heard the news about the New England Patriots.
The Patriots have a new No. 1 wide receiver in town in AJ Brown after being acquired from the Philadelphia Eagles. But there was a point when he was a highly viewed baseball player as well. Brown actually was drafted in the 19th round of the 2016 MLB June Amateur Draft by the San Diego Padres, but opted to go to college and play football instead. The decision clearly has worked out.
The wild thing is that Brown was actually selected in the MLB Draft just after a current member of the Boston Red Sox: Greg Weissert.

Weissert was taken in the 18th round of the 2016 MLB Draft by the New York Yankees out of Fordham University. Eventually, he made it to the big leagues with the Yankees in 2022. Eventually, he joined the Red Sox in 2024 and the rest is history.
