The Milwaukee Brewers won their first World Series this year, but they are not expected to abandon their winning formula.

The Brewers have sustained success by having a good feel for the market they play in and trading players before they leave in free agency for nothing in return. They have done so with Freddy Peralta, Corbin Burnes and their last two All-Star closers: Devin Williams and Josh Hader.

Trevor Megill is one year away from free agency and history would suggest the Brewers will at least listen to offers on him. The New York Yankees and Chicago White Sox need to be on the phone if that's the case.

New York Yankees

The Yankees extended a qualifying offer to David Bednar, and if they lose him, they will need a new closer.

It did not quite work out the last time they traded for a Brewers closer, but Megill seems to have the attitude and makeup to succeed in New York. He would be a stellar replacement for Bednar, but even if Bednar comes back, the Yankees should look into adding Megill.

Megill and Bednar could be a lethal duo in the final two innings of games. One of them would have to move out of a closer's role and into a setup role, but it would be hard to find many better duos than those two.

Chicago White Sox

The White Sox surprised everyone this year by making the postseason. They have a young team that figures to stay together for the next few seasons, and with a taste of winning and a year of experience under their belts, they will be hungry to make more noise next year.

The White Sox's bullpen led baseball in strikeouts this year and had a top-10 ERA. However, their team leader in saves had just 12. Megill would be a huge upgrade from Seranthony Domรญnguez and give Will Venable a reliable option in the ninth inning.
