The Milwaukee Brewers won their first World Series on Wednesday night, and Trevor Megill made sure to call out their rival, the Chicago Cubs.

"Have fun talking (expletive) to Chicago next year," Megill told Ben Verlander when asked if he had a message for Brewers fans. "We have a ring."

The rivalry has always been a good one, and neither side seems to like the other. Last season, the Brewers posted up with an "L" flag after eliminating the Cubs from the postseason. The rivalry has taken on some extra meaning in recent years after Craig Counsell left the Brewers to join the Cubs.

However, for years, Cubs fans have been able to respond to trash talk by pointing out that the Brewers have never won a World Series.

Now, the Brewers can say they've won a championship, and they've done it dominantly. They've had the best record in baseball the last two seasons, and lost just two games in the entire postseason.

Megill once played for the Cubs, but he did not become a star until he got to the Brewers. He has been key for them ever since he arrived, and can now say he was the closer on one of the best teams of this century.

The Brewers have nearly the entire team under contract for next season. Meanwhile, the Cubs have a ton of work to do to close the gap between them and Milwaukee.
