The Milwaukee Brewers are 2-0 in the World Series against the Tampa Bay Rays.

Both teams are trying to win their first World Series, but for the Brewers, they are in the World Series for the first time since 1982. Their franchise has been long deprived of even the experience of the World Series, and they are making the most of it.

The Brewers surprised every baseball fan by sweeping the Los Angeles Dodgers and are now going to Tampa Bay with a chance to win the World Series. They are on a seven-game winning streak going back to Game 4 of the National League Division Series, which is longer than any of their regular-season win streaks.

The last six wins are of some note, though. According to Just Baseball, this year's Brewers are the second team in MLB history to sweep the Championship Series and then win the first two games of the World Series. The only other team to do so was the 2019 Nationals, who went on to win the World Series in seven games.

The Nationals lost Games 3, 4 and 5 of the 2019 World Series before winning the final two games on the road against the Houston Astros.

The Brewers have not lost a home game since Sept. 13 and have three road wins this postseason. They will hope to avoid having to come back to Milwaukee to win it all.

History seems to be on their side, and they are red hot this month. It feels like no lead is safe against them, and their pitching has been phenomenal, especially the bullpen.
