The Milwaukee Brewers won Game 1 of the World Series behind a solid start from Jacob Misiorowski. He went five innings and picked up the win.

It was Misiorowski's longest start of the postseason, and he was the Brewers' first starting pitcher to get a win in the postseason. The 24-year-old is poised to win the National League Cy Young Award in the coming weeks, and on Friday, he became the youngest starting pitcher since Jaret Wright to get a win in Game 1 of the World Series.

Wright's win came in 1997 when Cleveland played the Florida Marlins. He was 21 years old at the time.

It really puts into perspective how hard it is to pitch well on the biggest stage as a young pitcher. Misiorowski has been lighting up the radar gun this October, but he has been nowhere near as dominant as he was in the regular season.

The Brewers threw their best arm in Game 1, but the Tampa Bay Rays did not. Misiorowski will be lined up to pitch in Game 5, while Drew Rasmussen looks like he will pitch in Game 2 and Game 6, should the series get there.

However,. depending on how the series goes, the Brewers and Rays could both move where their aces are slated to pitch.
