The Milwaukee Brewers released their lineup for Game 1 of the World Series, and Pat Murphy is straying away from some norms.

The biggest shock in the lineup is where Brice Turang is hitting. He led the team in RBIs this year and has hit top three in the lineup for almost the entire season. He hit second in every game of the National League Championship Series.

Turang has struggled to hit in the postseason so far in his career, but things started to click in the last series. He went 4-for-11 with a home run, a double and five walks against the Dodgers. He was a huge producer as the No. 2 hitter, but now he will hit fifth.

Meanwhile, Jake Bauers, the NLCS MVP, hits second. Bauers is fine as the No. 2 hitter, and he has been the team's best hitter for most of the year. He is red hot right now, but not quite hot enough to hit ahead of Jackson Chourio.

Yelich is hitting third after hitting late in the order amid his struggles. However, he has a .292 batting average and two walks this postseason. He has been benched in favor of Andrew Vaughn against lefties, but the Rays will likely start four right-handers.

The rest of the lineup is pretty normal for Murphy, with William Contreras batting cleanup. He has been the best power bat in the lineup, but is capable of coming through with traffic on the bases in multiple ways.

Turang is 4-for-16 against Rays starter Nick Martinez in his career. Yelich is 5-for-19, but Murphy sees something that makes him think moving Yelich up is worth it. Perhaps it has more to do with how the veteran will handle the atmosphere early in the game compared to Turang.

Yelich could also be lifted for Andrew Vaughn when a southpaw enters the game, so he may just want to be able to stack righties with him and Contreras against a left-handed reliever. Also, if a left-handed pitcher comes in for Bauers, he would then have to deal with Vaughn and Contreras instead of Turang and Contreras.
