The Los Angeles Dodgers trail the Milwaukee Brewers 0-2 in the National League Championship Series, and history would say their chances of coming back are very low.

The Dodgers have been flat-out outplayed by the Brewers in Games 1 and 2, and must now try to salvage the series with three games at home. The 2-3-2 format does give the Dodgers a better chance than if they had to go back to Milwaukee for Game 5, but it's still going to be difficult.

In postseason history, a team has taken a 2-0 lead 94 times in a best-of-seven series. The team with a 2-0 lead has gone on to win 78 of those series. That means that 82.9% of the time, the team with a 2-0 lead goes on to win the series.

The last team to take a 2-0 series lead and lose the series was the Seattle Mariners last season against the Toronto Blue Jays, who went on to lose the World Series to the Dodgers. The Blue Jays came back despite losing the first two games of the series at home.

At least the Dodgers did not drop two games at home, and now have a chance to take the series lead at home. However, winning three games against the Brewers in a row will be difficult, especially knowing that Jacob Misiorowski will pitch again if the series gets to Game 5.

The Dodgers have a tall task ahead of them, and if the offense does not wake up, the Brewers may not even have to go back to Milwaukee in this series.
