A 15-game winning streak and a nine-game winning streak in a 29-game span helped the Red Sox remain relevant and not be sellers at the trade deadline. Interim manager Chad Tracy deserves a ton of credit, and he probably also deserves to be the long-term manager.
The Red Sox saved their season without their two best players as well. Garrett Crochet and Roman Anthony missed most of the season, and Crochet is still not back. They proved that they are a very capable team, even without their superstar pitcher and outfielder. However, now they have Anthony back and could get Crochet back in the bullpen for October.
A healthy Red Sox team is capable of doing a lot more than just making some noise in October. It's capable of winning the World Series.
