At this time of the year, we start to hear whispers about who could end up losing their jobs when the season comes to a close across Major League Baseball.
On Thursday, FanSided's Robert Murray shared a column with details about everything he's heard about MLB managers and executives who could be on the hot seat.
When it comes to the New York Yankees, what's important is the fact that Murray said that the expectation is that neither Aaron Boone or Brian Cashman will be gone after the season.
"Brian Cashman and Aaron Boone, New York Yankees," Murray wrote. "Being the leaders of the New York Yankees is not easy. It comes with constant media attention and constant criticism. But both Cashman and Boone have done a very good job in New York.
"Cashman is a surefire Hall of Fame executive. Boone is very good at his job and like I mentioned with Lovullo, would be hired in a second if he was ever let go. I firmly expect both to remain with the Yankees beyond the 2026 season. They do not feel like they are in any danger of being let go."
The Yankees have been without the services of Aaron Judge for a long time. Despite losing their best player, the Yankees are 80-60 on the season and in second place in the American League East. Plus, New York has the top American League Wild Card spot.
This is absolutely the right call to keep the front office together, along with Boone.
