The New York Yankees are missing their biggest star in Aaron Judge and made a roster move involving him on Saturday.
On Saturday, the Yankees officially moved Judge to the 60-Day Injured List as he continued to recover from his fractured rib. Now, of course, this doesn't add 60 days to his total amount of time he needs to stay on the Injured List, in large part because he already has missed so much time. But it is yet another example of him not being close to a return.
Judge, himself, gave an update on his rib earlier in the week.
"Some progress, some healing going on, but not fully healed," Judge said. "So we're still waiting on one more doctor to take a look at it, kind of see how we progress forward the next couple of weeks. But definitely a positive sign that we're seeing some healing.โ
Unfortunately for the Yankees, it doesn't sound like Judge is coming to save the day any time soon.
New York is still in second place in the American League East, but for how long? The Boston Red Sox are coming.
