Ceddanne Rafaela's Favorite Red Sox Teammate With Shock Boston Fans

In 2025, there was plenty of buzz out there about former Boston Red Sox star Rafael Devers and all of the drama that happened between him and the club's front office. 

Eventually, he was traded to the San Francisco Giants, despite the fact that he was expected to be the face of the franchise. Now, he's no longer in the organization and he's gotten a lot of heat over the last year. While this is the case, Red Sox All-Star outfielder Ceddanne Rafaela was asked who his favorite former teammate and he made it clear that it's Devers. 

"Devers," Rafaela said. "Yes, always."

For as much heat as Devers has gotten over the last year, it's a bit surprising to see a member of the organization to speak of him highly. It just goes to show that the media's perception of Devers doesn't necessarily match who he is in the clubhouse. There may have been issues with the front office, but that doesn't mean that Devers had issues with his teammates, to say the least.
