The 2026 Home Run Derby did not disappoint.
Philadelphia Phillies slugger gave the home crowd plenty to cheer about at Citizens Bank Park on Monday, advancing to the final round. He appeared poised to win after smashing 11 homers in the championship round, only to watch St. Louis Cardinals star Jordan Walker one-up him with 12 and win the trophy.
Walker's furious comeback, which included homers on his final six swings despite heavy boos from Phillies fans, made him the first Cardinals player to win the event. He also earned one million dollars in prize money.
JORDAN WALKER, ARE YOU SERIOUS!?!??!

Meanwhile, Schwarber went home empty-handed despite bashing 30 homers across the three rounds. He saved his best for last, but it still wasn't enough.
Schwarber's teammate, Bryce Harper, went down in the first round along with Ben Rice, Jac Caglianone and Munetaka Murakami. Junior Caminero and Willson Contreras lost in the semifinals to Walker and Schwarber, respectively.
Now that they're all warmed up, time will tell if any of them go deep during Tuesday's Midsummer Classic.
