The Los Angeles Dodgers scratched two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani on Friday.
He has been dealing with a knee issue and it has reached a point in which he was scratched on Friday due to what the club called "continued irritation in his left knee," per The Athletic's Katie Woo.
"News: Shohei Ohtani has been scratched from tonight's start with "continued irritation in his left knee" the Dodgers announced. He will not play in the All-Star Game," Woo wrote.

The Dodgers took to X to confirm the news and noted that he will serve as the team's designated hitter throughout the weekend and will have "interventions" on his knee.
"Shohei Ohtani will not make his scheduled start on the mound this evening against the D-backs due to continued irritation in his left knee. He will serve as the designated hitter the rest of the weekend, but following the series against the D-backs he will have some interventions on his knee to put him in the best position for the second half of the season. Unfortunately, due to these events, he will not be able to travel to Philadelphia and participate in the 2026 All-Star Game," the Dodgers announced.
