The Los Angeles Dodgers have five players headed to the All-Star Game, but Justin Wrobleski is not one of them.

Wrobleski was snubbed from the original list of All-Star selections, but he had a chance to get in as a replacement. However, the National League replaced three pitchers and passed over Wrobleski again. Paul Skenes, Max Meyer and Jacob Misiorowski will not pitch in the Midsummer Classic, and Braxton Ashcraft, JesΓΊs Luzardo and Riley O’Brien have been chosen to replace them.

Wrobleski has a better ERA than all of the pitchers chosen as replacements. O'Brien is a reliever, and it seems like Wrobleski has a better case to be in the All-Star Game than him. Wrobleski has a 2.69 ERA, 73 strikeouts and an ERA+ of 156. He has the eighth-best ERA in the National League following his start on Tuesday.

After news of Wrobleski being passed up once again, he responded with seven strong innings, allowing just one earned run. He also struck out nine against the Colorado Rockies on Tuesday night.

Luzardo and Ashcraft both have pitched in four more games than Wrobleski, but he is just 15 innings shy of Ashcraft and 10 innings shy of Luzardo. Both have him beat in the strikeout department, but Wrobleski issues fewer free passes than both of them.

Wrobleski can still get into the All-Star Game, but it's a shock that he is not already in. Dave Roberts has advocated for him to make the roster and represent the Dodgers alongside their other All-Stars.
