The tsunami that crashed into American Samoa hit home for Mariners infielder Matt Tuiasosopo. He has several relatives living in Avatia, a small village in American Samoa.

Today is salute to Japanese baseball night at Safeco Field, and since my mom is full Japanese descent, meaning I'm half Japanese, the Mariners gave me one of Ichiro's bats and one of Joh's red catcher's gloves.
