Trevor Cahill's name wasn't even on the A's Opening Day roster. Rather, he was on the disabled list, where he spent a couple of weeks nursing a stress reaction near his left scapula. Now, less than four months later, he's on the All-Star roster.

Blanks to have right elbow reexamined
