The key to the Reds' march to the top of the NL Central standings has been their ability to bounce back from losses that might have been too devastating to overcome in the past.
After all the wins, all the losses and all those arguments, Lou Piniella clearly felt it was time to leave. Saying the final goodbye after a half-century in baseball, that was the hard part.
