Rogier van Zon of Honkbalsite.com reported that the Texas Rangers have signed the 16-year-old Antillean prospects Jurickson Profar and Chris Garia last weekend besides three other international free agents. Profar is a shortstop, who led Curacao to the title at the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania in 2004. He throws 92 MPH and also got scouted by the Cincinnati Reds, Baltimore Orioles and Florida Marlins. Other teams saw him as a pitcher, but the Rangers like him
