Broadcaster Ernie Harwell, who called Tigers games for more than four decades and won the Hall of Fame's Ford C. Frick Award in 1981, passed away on Tuesday. He was 92.

Lon Simmons and Jon Miller's Giants broadcasting mates were overjoyed with the news that Miller won baseball's Ford C. Frick Award for broadcast excellence.
Jon Miller, well into his fourth decade of broadcasting as the vibrant voice of the San Francisco Giants, is the 2010 recipient of the Ford C. Frick Award.
Jon Miller, who has spent parts of five decades as the voice of five major league baseball teams, has been selected as the 2010 recipient of the Ford C. Frick Award.
