Plans for an annual postseason college football game between members of the Big East and the Big 12 at Yankee Stadium were announced at a Wednesday morning media conference in Yankee Stadium.

CJOnline:It was announced Tuesday that a bowl game featuring NCAA Division II teams from the MIAA and Lone Star Conference will be played Dec. 5 at Hummer Sports Park.The Topeka bowl game will choose a team after the Mineral Water Bowl makes its selection from the highest ranked non-playoff team in the MIAA. The Lone Star Conference has no other bowl commitment, so they will send their top non-playoff team to Topeka.The name of the bowl game has not been announced, but a name and a title sponsor

Tom O’Brien is a very disciplined coach, and it showed in his team last season, especially in quarterback Russell Wilson. But a repeat performance in reaching another bowl game may be asking a lot. More impact plays on defense, though, should deflect some pressure from Wilson and keep the Wolfpack in the Atlantic race into the season’s final month when the schedule really start to pick up.
